The false dichotomy

Influenced by modern philosophy, the American mentality today is that there is no objective truth; and if there is, there is no way of us knowing it. I see this thinking expressed on both sides of the political spectrum. Upon this false premise is the false dichotomy that all we are left with is subjective opinions vs. religious beliefs.

Returning to sanity means recognizing truth is universal, that basic truths must be upheld for the sake of justice, and that we are able to discern these through human reason. If our discourse remains in a false dichotomy of options, truth will continue to devolve into a contest of popularity and power.
