Catholicism and Politics

Catholicism translates into the political sphere particularly where grave evil produces injustice. A Catholic must take into consideration both intrinsic evils and how they are currently degrading the common good.

While this encompasses both ‘conservative’ and ‘liberal’ concerns, reason easily discerns issues where innocent life is directly threatened takes top priority, and especially where they’ve become socially acceptable and commonplace.

Issues of truth are also vital, since it’s in manipulating truth (and language) that life becomes threatened. Yet, that battle lies more within the philosophical and cultural realm than the political.
