Pope Francis?

John Paul II and Benedict XVI represented Catholicism unusually well. Nevertheless, bad popes are still popes, just like a bad father remains your father, regardless.

Jesus as Head of His body the Church is ultimately in control, not the one to whom He gives the keys as successor of St. Peter. The prime minister can never contradict the king on doctrine pertaining to salvation.

If you’re contemplating the sin of leaving Jesus and His Church He established over 2000 years ago because of Pope Francis, keep in mind that while this pope encourages dialogue with heterodoxy and goes to the edge himself with terms like “inadmissible” and “breed like rabbits”, he also directly or through the CDF stated God cannot bless the sin of same-sex unions, that getting an abortion is like hiring a hit man, that “transgenderism” is false and immoral, and that the question of “women priests” is closed.

Despite any ideology or woundedness a man takes with him upon becoming pope, the Holy Spirit will never allow a successor of St. Peter to err on definitive matters of faith or morals. That is Jesus’ promise until He comes again.
