Catholicism is the fulfillment of Judaism

Catholicism is the fulfillment of Judaism, and the Church, the new Israel.

The entire Old Testament prepares for, and points to, the New Testament as its fulfillment. Each OT covenant is a foreshadowing of the one everlasting covenant in Christ that re-opens the door to the Father, closed by Adam’s sin.

The Church is the new Noah’s ark of the new Israel on route to the new Eden, which is Heaven. Adam, Noah, Melchizedek, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon, Elijah, Jeremiah, and the prophets are all prefigurements of Jesus.

The authority of His Church is inherited from the scribes and pharisees who inherited it from Moses (Mt 23:2). The keys of the house of David (Is 22:22) are given to Peter as the keys to the kingdom of Heaven (Mt 16:19); given from the One whose messianic kingdom will have no end (Dn 7:14; Lk 1:33).

“Don’t think that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them.”  (Mt 5:17)

“Just as through one man sin entered the world, and through sin, death, and thus death came to all…through the obedience of one man the many will be made righteous.”  (Rm 5:12, 19)
