People under 60 have no memory of an America that was a Christian culture. Hence, the country is becoming like the woman who was abused as a child, and who seeks only men in her life who abuse her. Since that’s her entire experience and what she’s comfortable with, the prospect of truth and love have become unrealistic, frightening and uncomfortable.
