Neo-cons and Neo-cul-cons

While neo-cons are known for being war hawks, the new cutural conservatives (neo-cul-cons?) occupy the space of “I don’t care what people do in their private lives as long as they don’t force it on others.” This position, libertarian at heart, is unteneble within the egalitarian anti-discrimination ethos that is part of the American creed. In our society, if something is tolerated it is normalized. And this necessarily means moving swiftly toward acceptance and forcing it on others in law, on television, in free speech, and in the workplace. In other words, the neo-cul-con position inevitably leads to a cancel culture.

The problem is this position ignores traditional natural law, and replaces it with no foundation of human nature on which justice is based. Hence, like Supreme Court justice Anthony Kennedy once eluded in the Casey decision, each person is seen as his own God creating his own nature, moral code, and view of the universe. This means neo-cul-cons unwittingly share the basis of justice with the Left,  a false anthropology, which will never withstand the pressure from the powerful to comply, and the cancel culture that is the result.
