Marriage and the Stupid-Pill

We have no right to unwrap a package of cookies and eat some unless or until we have paid for them: Doing so diminishes the integrity of the cookies, steals from the store owner, and violates the rights of the future buyer. Likewise, you cannot take a bite out of an apple and put it back on the store shelf. Everybody knows this.

Why, then, is there such widespread confusion with regard to premarital sex?

Marriage is the covenantal ‘purchasing’ of each other before God that gives the right to consummation. Using another to satisfy one’s own desires outside marriage destroys the soul and degrades marriage, chipping away at the foundation of society, the family.

How, all of a sudden, have we become so blind as to miss the obvious?  Similar to what our first parents did in prehistoric times, society took the stupid-pill beginning in the 1960s, and has been unable to see clearly ever since —  the so-called ‘birth control’ pill. The resultant culture of death has been devastating.

  1. You are so right, Celeste. These days so many are missing the tremendous beauty which marriage is intended to be.
