Covenant, then Union

All of history attests that sharing bodily life first requires a solemn permanent covenant.

To share blood-life, one first makes a sacred covenant.

To share divine life with God, a covenant is first made at Baptism.

And it is absolutely imperative that two people become one-flesh, sharing life and genetic material, only after the sacred covenant of marriage has been made.

Yes, we have gone way off the tracks, into a place of moral chaos, grave injury, and spiritual darkness.
