Relationships in the 21st Century

Question to ponder, taken from the general theme of my May 2018 VP COLUMN:

“How many people have poor self esteem due to feeling used, being dumped, or feeling they have wasted prime time in their lives waiting for a ‘commitment-phobe’?  Too many to imagine. There may be number of reasons, but the important question remains:  How can we avoid it?”

What are some of the ways we can avoid the lifelong scars that are the inevitable result of a divorce culture whose mentality begins with the throw-away mentality that plagues premarital courting and relationships?  Broken and scarred hearts along with the natural connections that linger from premarital ‘relationships’ serve as the perfect foundation for a divorce culture. Do they not?
